Pricing Update - Effective July 1, 2025

We're sharing two important updates about WhatsApp API pricing by Meta and AiSensy’s subscription plans. Both will take effect starting July 1, 2025.

WhatsApp API Pricing Update

Meta has announced a significant update to WhatsApp Business API pricing, transitioning from per conversation-based to per message-based billing.

This change aims to offer greater transparency and simplify pricing management for all businesses.

Key Changes:

• Billing will now be per template message delivered, instead of per 24-hour conversation.
• Applicable to Marketing, Utility, and Authentication template messages.
• Service messages and Utility messages delivered within an active customer service window remain FREE.

Customer Service Window : When a user sends you a message, a 24-hour support window begins. Each new message from the user resets this window. During this window, you can respond freely without additional charges and you can respond with any free form messages.Also, utility templates delivered within this window won't be charged.

⚠️ Utility messages delivered outside the customer service window will incur standard utility message charges.

Example: Let’s say a customer messages you at 10:00 AM on Monday.

• You reply to the customer from AiSensy's Live Chat at 10:05 AM with a normal message (not a template) — ✅ Free (within the 24-hour customer service window).
• The customer replies to you at 10:30 AM — The Customer service window now refreshes and you can now send the customer any normal message or a utility template till Tuesday 10:30 AM without any charge
• You reply at 11:15 AM with an order status (utility message) — ✅ Free (within the 24-hour service window).
• You send a marketing template to the customer at 4:00pm — You'll be charged the price of per marketing message according to the recipient's country (₹0.88 per message for Indian recipient)
• You send another reminder (utlity message) at 5:00 PM the same day — ✅ Still free.
• But if you send a follow-up utility message at 11:40 AM on Tuesday (after 24 hours of no reply from the user) — ⚠️ You will be charged for that utility message according to the recipient's country (₹0.125 for Indian recipient)

Per message price will stay the same as per conversation price according to respective categories. (For eg. For Indian recipient the marketing template price stays ₹0.88/message , utility template price stays ₹0.125/message & authentication template price stays ₹0.125/message)

• Beyond 5 agents/manager access, each additional agent/manager will be charged at ₹750/month

• Renewals or upgrades after July 1, 2025, will reflect the above updated pricing.
• To keep your current pricing, please renew your plan before July 1, 2025.
• Annual subscriptions purchased before July 1 will continue at current prices.
